In life –

Adriana Velasquez Gutierrez is a Mexican American artist and designer from Los Angeles, California. Her work reflects the duality of her upbringing—rooted in the culturally rich streets of South Central Los Angeles and the traditional, faith-driven heritage of Jalisco, Mexico. Drawing influence from both worlds, Adriana’s creative voice merges urban identity, religious symbolism, and contemporary storytelling.

In Traditional works of Art -

In her traditional works, Adriana reimagines modern cultural icons through the lens of historical reverence. Her portraits glorify figures of pop culture in heroic, almost saint-like compositions, fusing traditional and modern aesthetics. Blending mixed media techniques, she creates a dialogue between devotion, admiration, and modern identity—a flirty dance between Pop Art irreverence and Baroque grandeur. Her inspirations draw from masters such as Da Vinci, Velázquez, Warhol, and Basquiat, whose influences echo in the drama, color, and emotional narrative of her work.

In works of Design –

Through her design practice, Adriana extends fine art beyond gallery walls and into the streets. Under her creative moniker KOS, she transforms fashion and everyday objects into wearable canvases. Her hand-painted sneakers, garments, and products bring fine art’s detail and passion into accessible movement, making each piece a living expression of individuality and cultural pride.

In media –

Adriana’s artistry and creative collaborations have attracted partnerships with global brands and cultural icons. Her work has appeared across media platforms and projects for Nike, Adidas, EA Sports, Interscope Records, Microsoft, Universal Music Group, and the LA Sparks, among others. Her designs and portraits have been featured on Good Morning America, The Wendy Williams Show, and even at the Super Bowl. Her client list includes an array of A-list talent, such as Taboo (Black Eyed Peas), Wyclef Jean, Jabee, Tyreek Hill, Usher, Bruno Mars, and Too Short.
